Barrio Recoleta

Barrio Recoleta is one of the most distinctive and historic neighborhoods in Asunción, Paraguay. Originally named after the Franciscan Recoletos who established a convent there, the area still preserves landmarks like the Iglesia de la Recoleta and the historic Recoleta Cemetery, which dates back to the 19th century and holds the graves of many notable Paraguayans.
